Cover illustration: Light Keeper Chronicle: The Unspoken Prophecy by R.E. Bellesmith

I had the pleasure of working on a cover commission for self published author, R.E. Bellesmith. This middle grade fantasy title just went to print and more information can be found on the author's site https://www.rebellesmith.com/.

Final art handed off to the author.

Thumbnails for testing the layout and comp of the cover. I left room for the author to place the final title. We ended up combining a bit of 2 and 3.

Sketch and preliminary layout.

Flat colors and simple shadows

Final textures, minus some small edits.

Cover illustration in print, with author's final type.
